DPP, April 2026: no sector delegated act in force yet

Status check in mid-2026: no product-specific delegated act has entered into force yet. Only the working plan and preparatory documents are published. No product DPP is therefore mandatory today — with the notable exception of batteries, whose passport becomes binding in February 2027.

But the systems that will enforce the DPP are being switched on (central registry, data-carrier standards).

What it changes for you

This is the preparation window, and it won’t last. Organizations that structure their data now will meet the deadlines calmly; those that wait for the mandate will face it in a rush, and at a premium. DPP compliance is, above all, a data-quality project — and it starts well before the deadline.
